The BASIC 2 builds on the Doppler functionality of the BASIC 1 and adds 2 channel Photo plethysmography (PPG). The 7" WVGA colour TFT touch screen means the BASIC 2 is easy to operate with no fiddly buttons or complicated sub menus. Clear graphics make it easy to identify left and right channels and adjust waveform amplitude and speed using the touch screen. Red arrows on the PPG waveform indicates the position of systole. Two channel PPG pressure measurements can be performed when PPG sensors are placed on the toes or fingers to monitor the returning pulse pressure when using a manual sphygmomanometer.
The BASIC 2 automatically detects the return of the PPG signal and as the continuous component of the PPG signal is also displayed this helps verify automatic detection is correct. The BASIC 2 can also be used with a manual sphygmomanometer to manually measure Doppler systolic pressures. These pressures can be input manually into the BASIC 2 to have them as well as the ABI printed in the examination report. The pressure table feature stores all the measured pressures and brachial indices for easy reference at the touch of a button. Numerous protocols can be configured to ensure examination and report consistency. Please email or call for a quotation.
