The Bedfont NObreath V2 is a cost-effective, accurate and non-invasive FeNO monitor for the detection of eosinophilic airway inflammation. Manufactured in the UK, the Bedfont® NObreath® is a highly accurate, simple to use handheld monitor that measures Fractional exhaled Nitric Oxide (FeNO) in the breath. It is for the management and diagnosis of asthma in both adults and children and requires very little respiratory effort.
NICE Guideline NG245 on diagnosing Asthma now recommends FeNO monitoring in adults and children.
It is powered by an internal rechargeable battery and comes with a USB charging docking station. The NObreath uses a specially designed single-patient mouthpiece (sold separately) constructed using a bacterial viral filter that further reduces the risk of cross-infection between patients. During a test, an on-screen incentive will display, ensuring a consistent flow rate. The result is displayed immediately at the end of the test as a single value in parts per billion (ppb). The result can be interpreted with the FeNO interpretation chart that is included with the monitor.
